On another thread:
I noticed that Tim G. places his unchanged articles he submitted to article directories on his websites. Apparently it works for him. He lists his articles under a separate set of pages under "articles" in his site map. This might make a difference to the spyder. I guess only Google knows for sure. I am considering doing the same thing on some up coming sites as a test. If this works then you do not have to change much or any of the article content. Of course you have to find a good writer that produces material that does not need major editing. Good luck
Anyone else using a similar strategy?

This is fine, but if you want "credit" make sure you get the article on your site indexed first. Then post away for back links.

Are you suggesting that we should have all the articles that we are going to drip for the coming year on the site and have the site crawled before we post them? I have not been doing that and you have caught me by surprise by your comment.
When I am in a hurry sometimes I only have about half of the articles written at the time I publish the site. Occasionally the site would get indexed faster than I had planed so I then add them sometime later. I have not noticed that the googlebot has been there before posting the articles. I gather from what you are saying that this is a mistake.
I checked the number of external links and I have about 300 to 400 on each of these 2 sites so I cannot tell if it made a difference or not.
Have you seen a drop in traffic when you do not have all the articles on the site prior to indexing?
I will indeed take a look at your supposition.

Well remember Google will give the most credit for an article to the site it finds it on first. Then less and less and less credit is given to each additional site, until no credit to a site is given. So if you want your site to receive the credit for the content itself, which you do, then yes you need the article to indexed on your site first.
As stated you can still receive backlink credit for articles that are in the duplicate content filter and why it doesn't matter if 10, 50, 100, 1000, etc sites post your article. However if you post your article on the networks before getting it indexed on your site then your site will get the duplicate content filter setting.

Check in the member area, Promotion, "Article posting". I did an audio on this subject.

Hi,
I also heard that if several sites have the same content, Google will give the credit to the most authoritative site, even if it might not have been the first to publish. Is this correct?
Thanks,
Willie

Hi,
I tried to look for Sydney's audio re "Article Posting" in both http://auction-genius-course.com/members/ and http://mba.cyberws.com/agc but couldn't find it. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Willie

All material related to the Wealth Plan goes here or in the WP member forum:
http://aid.auctionknowhow.com/agwp
You won't find specifics of the WP on either the Auction Genius forum or the bonus area.

Jim,
When I first started out I was indeed submitting the same articles that were on my site. I've since stopped doing that (probably a year or two ago). Now I always submit different articles (meaning they aren't on my site anywhere). Although I do routinely use unchanged PLR on my sites -
