How do you drill down from a broad topic to specifics using Terapeak? For example, Musical Instruments - Guitars - To which brand of guitars sell the best.

I've tried but am missing some obvious step.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

wouldn't really try to drill down via eBay. I suggest you use Overture or Good Keywords first, just to make sure that demand is strong.

1. Musical Instruments = Overture/GK

2. WHICH musical instrument: guitars, drums or keyboards? = Overture/GK - once you've determined that guitars are best (example only, of course) you might want to check out just the general category of "guitars" on eBay, but it isn't really necessary

3. Which guitar brand is best? = Overture/GK. At this point when you have a brand name, I would definitely look at those brands via Terapeak

4. Which model? = eBay/Terapeak only - forget the SEs here

Of course, if you have a superior tool like Wordtracker or Nichebot, your results will be more exact on the first steps. But you can wait on spending that money until you're ready.
