Reseach Ideas

I'm fairly new to all this stuff and could use some ideas. Does anyone know how to do real reseach on the internet?

I don't mean just for ebay use but everything. What seems to happen to me is; the only thing I really know how to do is go to google and when I try and find out something I mostly get links to sites trying to sell things with little to almost nothing about the subject I'm looking up, except to sell me something then I'll get the information.

So if anyone knows of other places to reseach things or somewhere I can go to learn how to do my own reseach I would appreciate any ideas or knowledge you have.

There is a great program that allows you to research in more ways than you can imagine. I use it constantly - and it's only $37!
