For my purposes I care very little about how much I get for the information products I will be listing in ebay. My goal is to add people to a related list as fast as possible. I know I should have a signup box on each listing page and also on my homepage at ebay. Are there other more specific tips and techniques suggested for my particular purpose? Thanks much in advance!

I know I should have a signup box on each listing page and also on my homepage at ebay.

You can have a signup on your personal page (About Me) but if you put a signup form on your listing page, eBay will yank your auctions when they discover you. That is definitely against their rules.

Of course, people break these rules all the time & they do get by with it for a while. It's your decision about following the rules or not.

Sydney,

Interesting!

I had read elsewhere that one could use a signup box as long as the thank you link pointed back to ebay. The rules you linked to seem to say that is not allowed.

So...... I assume the next best thing would be to use text encouraging them to visit my about me page where I do have the link for my newsletter signup. Is that the best approach from your experience?

Thanks

Eric

Correct. You want to provide a more information link which is allowed by eBay. You need to make sure the page doesn't only have a signup form but information about the book as well. eBay does allow you to link off site to provide this more in detail information. You just have to play by their rules.
