Hi folks. I would like to propose a request for a new forum category that doesn't neatly fit under any of the existing WP forum categories (except perhaps loosely in the "Everything Else" section).

That proposal would be for a Tools, Resources & Processes discussion section.

We all have software tools, sources of uesful information, and steps of action that we take to tackle the Wealth Plan. Some of these have been mentioned by Sydney and/or Jeremy in classes, but there's a lot of additional good (and useless) stuff out there that we could all benefit from. I know at least for myself that people have referenced tools in this forum or during our town meetings that I haven't heard of before.

So, for example, with keyword research whether you use WordTracker or Nichebot or Niche Inspector or Keyword Elite or some other tool, it would be helpful to everyone to draw from your experiences with them. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Helpful processes could also be documented in a Tools, Resources & Processes section as well. Step-by-step instructions on how you go about searching out good keywords or posting articles to article directories or posting your sites to directory sites or how your create (or modify) an eBook for your site or where you find good content for eBooks or snippets of HTML & javascript code you have found helpful to jazz up you site a little, etc.

A forum category like this could be used to

Describe things you have found helpful (and why)
Describe things you have found detrimental (and why you'd recommend we not do them)
Pros and cons of specific resources
Requests for tool functionality recommendations (e.g. Has anyone found a software package that will do xyz on a web site?)
Provide one's steps of action to accomplish some WP-related task (process) and ask for feedback on how to make it better (or ask if someone has a completely different approach that may be more efficient)
Do a comparison of tools that are intended for the same basic purpose

A new thread within this category can be created for each tool, resource, or process so that they are clearly labeled and easy to back reference.

Would a forum category like this merit consideration?
